About Ground & Pulled

Ground & Pulled is an independent editorial site about home espresso and coffee gear. We want to help you buy one good setup instead of three mediocre ones.

How we research

Our guides are research-based reviews. For each product we:

  • Read the manufacturer's spec sheets, manuals and support documentation (portafilter size, boiler or thermocoil type, grind range, burr size and so on).
  • Read through large volumes of public owner feedback and look for patterns: problems that show up repeatedly, praise that holds up over time, and the questions buyers keep asking.
  • Compare products on the things that actually affect what ends up in your cup: grinder quality, temperature stability, steam power, workflow and long-term maintenance.

What we don't claim

We don't run a test kitchen and don't pretend to. When a guide says a machine is "consistent" or a grinder "struggles with light roasts," that is a summary of manufacturer information and widely reported owner experience, not our own lab measurements. If we ever do hands-on testing, we'll say so clearly in that guide.

We also don't publish prices or star ratings, because they change constantly. Product buttons link to Amazon, where you can see the current price and reviews.

How the site is funded

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. If you buy through a link on this site, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. No manufacturer pays for placement or sees a guide before it's published. Read the full affiliate disclosure.
